LONG HIGH WAISTED SKIRT

So luckily,I found these two pictures of the style which is a hot cake right now.I love them a lot and they both make a bold statement.

In first picture, I love everything about the look (high-waisted skirt,paired with a thick cable knit sweater, tucked in and rolled at the sleeves)She looks casual with them thick wedges .But More importantly is the  colour purple which is one of my favourite.It  is too majestic and deep.

The picture below wows as well, high waisted skirt or ankle skimming skirts with a belt and a white top.I love black as well,by the way who can live without some black clothes? Black is so classic and elegance and it attracts person attention without screaming for attention.lol! I ♥ it.

THE LANGUAGE OF FASHION AND STYLE

Hello Guys,

Well,I was so heated to know 'why our society identify people's age, sex, attitude, importance, occupation,Education,economic or marital status and etc simply by looking on things they wear?

So, corresponding to that, I had to do some little research on the particular subject.I came to realise there was Fashion and style Language  since back then.The language that many societies in the world from most primitive to more sophisticated,use it on  clothing and ornaments to communicate social and personal Information.But How?  their facial expression or body gestures in general can tell it all.

 However, its occasionally uncool  cause you  can sometimes mistakenly about kind of people they are.For example Mlalahoi(Poor Person) can wear the only suit he got  in a certain function and people may thought the person worth million bucks while he got nothing and likewise.This will automatically convey a wrong impression to that person however the conveyed information about the person can be  false or true respectively.

Nowadays,I find this too intimidating because you can see people wear most  designers  expensive stuffs like Gucci,Prada,Couture,Versace,Chanel and the list goes on, just for showing off while if you investigate their real life they don't even have life really.I got bothered  and asking myself  that why trying so hard to hide our  identity or originality or characteristics on what we  pretend to wear.I know fashion reflect our personalities not by Lies but by being real.You know what,Personally what I call fashion is What You Can Afford and Style is by how you work your wardrobe.

Anyway, As said above The language of fashion was there since the ancient days and applied to all societies in the world.Hence, I will go through Tradition messages on clothing communicated since then However there some others seem to change to both men and women.But by 20's century it was as follows.

1:MASCULINITY-Trousers,Ties,Brad shoulder and etc

2: FEMININITY-Skirts,Low necklines, Defined waists and delicate fabrics

3:SEXUAL MATURITY-High Heels, Tight clothing, Transparent or shiny fabrics

4:IMMATURITY- Shapeless, Loose clothes, Childish prints,bright colours

5:DOMINANCE-Uniforms,uncomfortable clothes etc

6:INTELLIGENCE-Reading glasses,Blue or dark stockings, Briefcase 

7:REBELLION-Extreme clothing and hairstyles, tattoos, piercing, unusual shoes

8:OCCUPATION-Uniforms, suits,wearing tools or  trade accessories

9:ORIGIN-Indicated by Village/town or country clothes

10:WEALTH-Gold jewellery,clean or new clothes,perfect fit, identifiable fashion labels,fur, perfume

11:AGE-adherence to the past style

12:HEALTH-Casual or sporty clothing and logos,revealing cut,trainers and etc.

CHICISIMO - BEST OF THE WEEK

This week in Chicisimo- Most of pictures are for fashionistas who wear jeans/ pants and tops or tops with blazers.In Two first pictures above, I notice another way of wearing a belt which I actually saw some ladies with the style but I never got to try before.Consequently, I attempted today  a yellow long belt on my dress and it was just perfect.This applied  to the belts which are super/extra long and you can't wear them just as they are.Given that the belt will go around the waist more than one time and makes the clothes you wear not to fit well to the body.So to avoid that, you can shorten it by fitting the buckle to a fitted screw and then left end part of it to drop down as shown on pictures below.

SHAFNIE'S BATIKS

Shafnie is my classmate and also a  good friend of mine.Lots of people celebrated Eid Mubarak on friday, enjoyed gifts and exchanged greetings .Shafnie was among them.All seven batiks dresses you see below were made by her mother particular for that blessed festival.According to Shafnie, her mother has been tailoring since she was 16.Not for the means of making money but It was and still it is for fun and leisure. However she can spend the whole day doing what she is enjoying to do..The dresses are traditional costumes and made of batik silk which is known as 'Baju Kurung'(Is made loose from the body). Furthermore, her mother doesn't only make 'Baju Karung' but also 'Baju Karung  Malaysia' which made fit and shapely according to they body and it got zip behind the dress.Regardless to the price of the batiks at their home country, the colours doesn't fade away easily though it is designed and drawn by hands/ manually.I was so fascinated when I saw the pictures and I really wanted to know the history behind it.So,as a result Shefnie was able to offer me with information and pictures as well.:-)

BRACES OR SUSPENDERS

Hello Guys.

Well!In all of his shows( Larry King Live),its very rarely to see Larry without his pair of braces on.I suppose you will agree with me that he is Number one style Icon. Braces seemed to be forgotten to some extent but Mr.King never looked back as he always wear them.

And even some of us think that braces are no longer exist in the world of styles or think  is an old fashion type of thing which is not true.Many moons ago,Myself I thought braces are for overweight people to keep their trouser/jeans in a place since our teacher used to wear them and he was full packed(fat).

 In recent Years braces are becoming more popular and wowed a lot to both old people and young generation.Just take an example of Sheria Ngowi latest collection,I'm falling in love with his braces pictures,which to be honest ,they are amazing.

Moreover,I hope you guys watched Ne Yo new video -(One in a million) wearing a pair of braces and making those pretty moves.He went for large black and white pair of  braces however there some who prefer small one. I'm very fascinated about the old fashion and it wonderful to see high status people with money wear them as well.

Finally, the braces can serve two function on either to keep the trouser or skirt to a right position or simply to add the look.How?.We all know that there different colours  for braces and hence the coloured pair tends to bring some ensemble to the suit or type of clothes you put on, which is  totally cool.
